DESCRIPTION:

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for supervising all driver and fleet personnel, equipment, processes and procedures and effectively maintains a safe and efficient departmental.
Supervisors at ProPacific Fresh are responsible for the continuous development, coaching, training, and motivating of their direct reports to ensure they are performing to their full potential. Supervisors are responsible for being the resource for their direct reports and ensuring that they have all the available tools to do their job efficiently and effectively.
TITLE: Transportation Supervisor – South(Sacramento,Salinas,Fresno)
DEPARTMENT: Transportation
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations & Transportation
SALARY: $68,640.00 per year
DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Lead all recruiting, training, and management of driver and fleet personnel to ensure department objectives are met and maintained.
· Adheres to, and enforces, all established company protocols and procedures.
· Effectively schedules equipment and personnel based on customer demand, route criteria and maintenance needs.
· Is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance and appearance on all equipment, inside and out.
· Ensures all data entered into the Transportation Management Software (TMS) is accurate and within regulatory compliance.
· Travels to remote depot locations on a regular schedule to maintain oversight, support and presence for all depot employees.
· Participates in implementing new/improved systems, policies and procedures.
· Participates in a after hour contact & weekend oversight rotation schedules.
· Participates in daily routing processes and will cover routing and end-of-day tasks as needed.
· Partakes in tasks assigned that are outside the scope of this job description, but within the capabilities of the employee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field
· Previous supervisory experience
· Successful track record in trucking and distribution
· California CDL Class A or B a plus

· Consistently adheres to all established company protocols and procedures.
· Will contribute to the overall success and continued evolution of ProPacific Fresh by creatively adding value to the organization whether indicated within these job duties or not.
